THE SKYTYPERS PLANNING DESK
A sharper brief.
A stronger sky campaign.
Bring the ambition. Use these tools to shape the message, market and moment before the flight team reviews your idea.
02 / MARKET & AUDIENCE
Start with the people. Define the place.
Your audience
Who do you want to reach: event attendees, beach visitors, a city audience, customers or someone special? Describe the moment they will be sharing.
Your market
Name the city and region. If your media team uses a Nielsen DMA®, include that planning label alongside the actual venue or viewing area.
Your viewing area
Tell us where people are expected to look up: a venue, landmark, waterfront or gathering area. Add the preferred local time and a backup window.
A DMA® is a Nielsen-defined media-market geography. It is a planning reference, not a flight path, permission to fly or proof that everyone in the region will see a message. Skytypers reviews the actual viewing area and operating conditions.
03 / DEFINE SUCCESS BEFORE THE FLIGHT
Know what the evidence will show.
Tell us what your team needs to evaluate the campaign. Discuss reporting scope during the quote stage so the creative idea and the evidence plan are clear.
Flight delivery & campaign documentation
Ask which flight records, timing details, message records and photos or video can be included. Capture requirements, crew access, usage rights and any additional cost should be agreed before the campaign.
Audience estimates, reach & frequency
An area population or event attendance figure is not a verified viewer count. Any audience estimate should identify its source, date, geography and assumptions. Reach concerns distinct people; frequency concerns repeat exposure. Ask how a proposed estimate is calculated.
Social, press & digital response
Plan a memorable search phrase, short landing-page address or coordinated social post. Use a campaign-specific page or link for supporting digital channels, and compare results with a defined baseline. Press mentions, social views and on-site response should be reported separately.
Attribution & independent measurement
Changes in traffic or sales alone do not establish that the flight caused them. If you need brand-lift research, footfall analysis or third-party audience measurement, raise that requirement before booking so data access, methodology, scope and availability can be reviewed.

04 / READY FOR REVIEW
The brief that moves a conversation forward.
The creative
Brand or occasion, message draft, intended audience and the action you want people to take.
The flight
City, requested viewing area, preferred date and local time, alternative windows and number of markets.
The campaign
Working budget, decision contact, approval deadline and any capture, reporting or exclusivity requirements.
For a dedicated campaign window or a multi-day brief, ask about available options. The quote confirms scope and any exclusivity; a request alone does not reserve the fleet.
